Simple & Quick Meals...

For the person who is currently abroad, here are some tips from me on simple and quick meals for an individual. Do give it a try! At least, you can have some choices in your daily meals instead of bread + ham + lettuce.

Breakfast

Monday
1. Toast with Peanut Butter / Jam / Butter (the bread and jam found overseas always seem to
taste better, if you ask me)

Tuesday
2. Cereal / Muesli with Milk

Wednesday
3. French Toast (my all time favourite!)

Thursday
4. Pancakes with Honey (just buy the premix version that you only need to add milk)
Variation of pancakes : Mix in any type of berries / mashed bananas / peanut butter

Friday
5. Soft Boiled Egg (telur setengah masak laH)

Saturday
6. Cheese Toast - Add in a slice of cheese while it is still hot to your french toast

Sunday
7. Bacon & Eggs

Lunch / Dinner

1. Turkey Ham, Pineapple & Cheese Sandwich (adapted from Oliver's Sandwiches)

2. Mushroom & Cheese Omelette
Saute sliced fresh button mushroom. Pour in beaten egg (season with salt & pepper). When
egg is half cooked, put a slice of cheese on the egg. Seal by folding the egg into half. Make into
sandwich by adding lettuce, tomatoes and mayo / chilli sauce / ketchup.

3. Chicken / Fish Porridge

4. Spaghetti (Boil pasta and top with heat up ready made sauces)

5. Pizza (Buy frozen ones from the supermarket)

6. Pies (Buy frozen ones from the supermarket)

7. Fried Rice (a good chance to clear the ingredients in the refrigerator)

8. One Pot Chicken Rice
Boil rice in rice cooker. Add a bit of oyster sauce into the rice. Saute chopped garlic, ginger
& shallot until fragrant. Add in sliced bite sized chicken. Cook till half cook. Season with salt,
pepper, sesame oil & soy sauce. Season it to be a bit more wholesome since you will be adding
it into the rice when it is almost ready. Stir everything together and voila! There you have it!

9. ABC Soup (serve with rice)
Boil chicken / pork ribs with potatoes, carrots, onions & corn with crushed white peppercorns.

Hope the above suggestions helped! I'm feeling hungry myself. Anyway, bon appetit! :o)
