The Night All Fell In Love With Lady Krall

Hello! I mentioned there was a concert of Diana Krall and so I share some of the shots I took of her and the band. Let me mention a little something about the concert since it’s was a great experience listening to her…LIVE! It would be unforgettable for any fan of jazz songs especially Diana Krall’s like yours truly. A friend’s girlfriend made a statement and I find it very agreeable. She said,” Even if you visited expo just to attend the concert of Diana Krall only…it has made your ticket worthwhile.”

In the concert, there were certain times that reflected Ms Krall’s sense of humor. It was rather windy that midnight and her notes were almost gone with the wind and coincidentally, she was singing The Look of Love and at that same moment, she went on such a high pitch at “Don’t ever go…”, it made the audience laugh. She knows how to manipulate that situation to her advantage and that makes me believe that even singers must also know a thing or two about managing unforeseen circumstances.

As mentioned previously, various events take place within expo and fireworks were going off during her concert. It is either telepathically or due to some coincidence, the band stopped playing and she also put her singing on hold and all of them was looking towards the general direction of the fireworks and putting on looks of dismay. The chemistry was humorous and its something that must be seen then and there. All these provided light hearted moments for the audience and its something that makes a concert memorable…somewhat. Anyway, below are some photos of the lady herself alongside her band. The photos are really more for her fans or something…just enjoy the photos with her music playing and imagine her singing if you could. I know I can…always.

In Anticipation

For All That Jazz

Diana immerses into the mood

With some light hearted moments

It was a windy night

But nothing stops the fun

Add in some trademark Krall deep thought gaze

Also with some plucking goodness

Sets the jazz into full swing

How could we ever forget this guy

His cool walawala bingbang drumming techniques

Before we knew it, it was standing ovation...good times are short!

Of course, an encore is to be expected of them
In full color!

And its another end of another entry. Fans of Diana Krall, continue your love for the jazz and for non jazz lovers...give jazz a chance and immerse in its goodness, hehe. Believe me that it soothes the soul. Well, till we meet again the next time...stay focused and happy!

The Happening @ Expo Nights

Hello there!

Today you will see some photos from the nights at Expo Zaragoza 2008. Just to be brief, the expo is not only bustling with people and happenings during the day but in fact, it probably is more alive at night sometimes especially with great concerts, street performances and dances. These events each take place all over the expo at various arenas and pavilions and stages so it is virtually impossible to spectate all of them, a pity nonetheless, for all of them are equally worthy as each other.

Some of those worth mentioning is the concert of Diana Krall and also ABBA, which Ms Krall gave one jazz of a night to all her fans including yours truly, where everybody just listened in awe to her strong deep voice and the band’s skills just attracted so many rounds of applause! On the other hand, two original ABBA members along with new members rocked the night away with all their matured and youthful groups of fans. Familiar songs like Dancing Queen, Fernando, Thank You for the Music and much more got the crowd raving mad and just danced away happily singing along to the tunes.

To have a pavilion location such as Malaysia’s is to have the convenience to watch some of the street dances, performances and parades right in front of the pavilion as they move along the main path where Malaysian Pavilion is located. So without further ado, enjoy the photos!

Street Shots @ Town Centre

Hola Buenos Dias,

It has been a while my friends and now slowly this blog is active again. Many apologies to those who have expectations but not getting any updates. From now, entries will resume.

Here I roll start with some light hearted street shots, the type of photography I also love because it is unpredictable and when a beautiful shot is taken, satisfaction is beyond words.

I was around this area nearby the La Seo Cathedral because one of the officers are leaving and wanted to purchase some souvenirs and bought many he did, while I went a little astray to shoot some of these photos that I share with you below. It probably is not much of photography but I sincerely hope it gives you a feel or two about Spanish Town Centre Streets.

Enjoy the photos!
