Taiwan Day 3: Part 3

Now, for some photos at yet another temple. The statues found there were some of the most stout looking ones while some are just plain scary looking like the devil himself. Just look at this guy below:

This is the scary guardian's cousin brother opposite him.

Laughing Buddha. Really friendly looking guy. I like him. He cheers me up.

The Guardian Lion does not look too happy there in fiery red.


The following 4 photos are meant to trick your eyes. They all look the same if you just scroll through quickly. Go see if you can spot any differences in them.

This guy above here is very terror I was told. He symbolizes the Intellectuals & Warriors.
In the olden days, there used to be 2 groups in the King's service. As you might have guessed, a group of intellectuals and the other are warriors. So this guy here with his longer left sleeve symbolizes the Intellectuals while his shorter sleeve refers to Warriors who wear something that facilitates swinging of swords.

There is a Chinese proverb to describe the statue above - "Wen Wu Shuang Quan". And if you're being described that way, that means you are an all-rounder who has brains and muscles =)

I do not know much abou this guy but I'm sure he is just as important, hehe.

This guy here is the big boss. Don't mess.

On an absolutely unrelated note, if there's one thing I have to rap about this beautiful country, it has much to do with the picture below:

I'm sure those who have been to Taiwan would know. For the rest who do not know, lets just say I simply cannot understand the liking for smelly tau foo. SIMPLY CANNOT. They STINK BAD. From MILES and MILES AWAY. Pass them by and you will smell like smelly tau foo also. SERIOUS.
