The very next day, it was lunch as soon as we checked out of the hotel. All was good and it got my eyes popped when this was served.
OMG, so elaborate.
Too pretty to be eaten.
The very nice taiwanese hosts we had lunch with.
We said our goodbyes and farewells before making way to Taipei. The weather was rainy and chilly when we arrived Taipei. Can't say I enjoyed the experience especially in the midst of the huge metropolitan. I think I enjoyed Tainan and Taichung better.
Anyhow, a cab ride and a bit of walking in the drizzle later...we reached the centre of all things branded and luxurious meant for the high rollers - Taipei 101. Coincidentally, there was a car exhibition held there. More photos from that later. Unfortunately, no photos of the Taipei 101 due to the drizzle and in hindsight, it really isn't all that pretty even when compared to KLCC.
Beautiful cars on display.
Here's a black & white rendition of the city view from the 88th floor. Can you actually tell it is Taipei? I cannot.
Some cool effects as a result of the foggy windows.
Taipei 101 mascot - a botak bee.
Home Sweet Home.
Teresa Teng memorabilia.
Cute lil thingamajigs.
Nice.
Beautiful.
Damn HOT!
The interior of the building reminds me largely of KLCC / The Gardens @MV.
And I let out a gasp or two at the sight of this Xmas tree studded with sparkling Swarovskies
*dayumm*
Commercial material overload! Back to nature in the next entry...
